MESSAGE
Grown with care, all year round.
Thank you for visiting the Hakunou Co., Ltd. website.
We grow vegetables, centered on carrots, cabbage, broccoli and daikon, on Narayama-Shinden, reclaimed land in Tatsuno City, Hyogo, and in the Karuya district. Since our founding in 2012, we have valued one thing above all: "growing with care, harvesting with care, and shipping with care."
We listen to what our customers need and grow varieties chosen for each use, from cooking to processing. This is our "made-to-order cultivation." Our job is to deliver "the vegetables you need, in the form you need."
Through Japan's "MIDORI Strategy for Sustainable Food Systems" and Hyogo's "SDGs Certification," we practice farming that cares for the global environment. As Vice President of the Hyogo Agricultural Corporation Association, a Director of the Japan Agricultural Corporations Association, and President of the Vegetable Distribution Research Association, I also share this experience with young farmers and work to develop the next generation of growers. We are also glad to advise companies considering entering agriculture.
From our fields in Tatsuno, we will continue to deliver vegetables grown with care, all year round. We look forward to your continued support.

SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability and the environment
In March 2026, Hakunou received Hyogo Prefecture's Hyogo Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries SDGs Certification, for promoting social contribution and lower environmental impact through vegetables.
Main SDGs we contribute to
Goal 2Zero Hunger
Goal 13Climate Action

Showing our care for the environment with the "visibility" label
Under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' MIDORI Strategy for Sustainable Food Systems, the "visibility" label (Mieru Label) rates efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions from cultivation and to protect biodiversity with stars. Hakunou's carrots are rated 3 stars and delivered in bags bearing the label.
Environmentally friendly vegetable growing
We reduce fossil-fuel-based inputs such as chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and practice environmentally conscious farming that puts soil building first. Protecting the wildlife around our fields is part of growing vegetables. In the office, we also work on going paperless and saving energy.
Giving back to the community through vegetables
We provide vegetables that do not meet size or shape standards to the local social welfare council and other groups. They are made into boxed meals for children's cafeterias and elderly people living alone, supporting tables across our community. Making good use of well-grown vegetables instead of wasting them is an important part of our work.
We will continue to contribute to our community through vegetables. If you run a children's cafeteria or a similar program and would like to receive vegetables, please feel free to contact us.
Ask about receiving vegetablesA workplace where people can work safely for the long term
We set safety rules such as heatstroke prevention, keep the entire premises smoke-free, provide health checkups beyond the legal requirements, and offer working hours that fit each person's circumstances. We also invest in people by hosting internships and covering the cost of external training.
